BREAKING:NSUK mgt swears-in New SRC Executive members

The New executives of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Nasarawa State University,Keffi have been sworn into office for the 2024/2025 academic year.
The swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the University Senate Chamber, was Chaired by the Vice Chancellor,DVCs,Dean of Students Affairs,as well as others.
Their appointments were officially announced on 10th Febuary 2025. The new SRC team will serve a one-year term, during which they will oversee the affairs of Students.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sadatu Liman, addressing the newly appointed officers, congratulated them on their appointments and inauguration.
She admonished them to work together to achieve their goals for the student body.The Vice-Chancellor also cautioned them not to use their position to lord over the students,assuring the executives of the commitment of management to work with them.
She also enjoined to embrace dialogue rather than confrontations.
Recall that the school management had suspended the last Nsuk SUG election held last year 2024 that resulted to chaos by Students within the school environment,which also led to the decision taken by the school management to appoint SRC based on superlative CGPA with course reps from various faculties.
The new SRC President, Amao Miracle Testimony, thanked the management for the confidence reposed in them and said the privilege to serve would not be abused. He pledged to work assiduously to promote the welfare of students in the University.
He called for unity and collaboration among the student body and the university administration.
Speaking after the ceremony, The Dean of Students Affairs Prof Yahaya reaffirmed SRC’s commitment to fostering fair and sustainable Academic policies that align with the school managment and students realities, while ensuring the school community efficiency and enhanced collaboration and mutual cooperation.
The new SRC team will commence its official duty with a litany of agenda items concerning the Students set for their decision-making, following the end of tenure in October 2024 of the last SUG Body headed by Buhari.
The SRC expresses gratitude to all stakeholders and the management for their continued support and looks forward to working collaboratively with the students and management and other partners to fulfil its constitutional mandate and obligations.
