As the process to release the 1.2million candidates results have been completed.
Alot of students who participated in the 2023 NECO exams,have been anxious about the release of their neco results, as well as parents,who also await their wards SSCE results
However a senior staff of NECO has assured that the SSCE results would be released soonest as the process to release the 1.2million results have been completed.
The non-release of the June/July 2023 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) has generated anxiety among students and parents.
The SSCE, which was conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO) is required by many of the students to process their admission into higher education.
Investigations revealed that many of the SS3 students wrote the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) did so as awaiting results candidates and require the SSCE results to determine their admission status.
Another reason for the anxiety is that some of the students wrote the May/June 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and did not get five credits required for admission into the university, polytechnic and college of education.
however, informations gathered by our correspondent,has it that barring any last minutes change of decision; the management of NECO is expected to announce the results this week.
Over 1,205,888 candidates registered for the 2023 SSCE out of this figure, 601,074 candidates were male while 584,814 were female.
The council commenced marking of the 2023 school-based SSCE answer scripts early last month and the exercise ended on September 28th.
The Head of Information and Public Relations of NECO, Mr. Azeez Sani, had earlier stated that the council plans to release the SSCE results by the end of September.
However, an online report said alleged that NECO has postponed the release of 2023 Results to Thursday, 5th October 2023; this is to ensure transparency and error free access to the portal.
“All candidates and stakeholders are advised to stay calm and await the official release of results on the portal.”
Anxious students and parents have continued to wait for NECO to release the SSCE results without further delay.
