JUST-IN:Tertiary Institutions In Nasarawa State,Congratulates Gov A.Sule On Supreme Court Victory.
The Joint Union of Nasarawa State Tertiary Institutions(JUNSTI) has congratulated Governor Abdullahi Sule on his recent victory at the Supreme Court.
On January 19, the country’s apex court upheld the election of Governor Sule and dismissed the appeal filed by David Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) for lacking in merit.
Reacting in a congratulatory message made available to n-Mirror on Saturday, JUNSTI described the verdict of the apex court as a true reflection of God’s will for the people of the State and his capacity to consolidate on his previous achievements.
The message signed by JUNSTI’s Chairman, Comrade Samson Kale Gbande, the union therefore admonished Governor Sule to embrace all and focus on providing good governance to the State and Nigeria at large now that the case is over.
They assured Governor Sule of their total loyalty to his administration and prayed God to grant him the needed wisdom and guidance in piloting the affairs of the State to greater heights.
The union however draw his attention to pending welfare-related issues affecting staff of the state-owned tertiary institutions in the State.
They include “implementation of promotions and its arrears from 2015 to date, payment of backlog of gratuity owed by the tertiary institutions and the negotiation and implementation of minimum wage and its consequential adjustment.
“It is the hope of the Union that His Excellency in his magnanimity will address these lingering issues,” they added.
