Police arrests man who was paid #30k to lure his neighbour’s son to an uncompleted building where he was killed
The police boss added that the suspect is in custody while a manhunt for the fleeing native doctor is ongoing.
Men of the Delta state police command have arrested a man identified as Destiny Lawrence for allegedly kidnapping an eight-year-old boy and handing him over to a native doctor who k!lled him and harvested his organs.
Parading the suspect before newsmen, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, said the father of the deceased who is a native of Owa-Alero (name withheld) had on December 23, reported that his 8yrs old son Progress Ifeanyi was missing and that the last they heard was that one of their customers named Destiny Lawrence who usually comes to their shop, went away with him.
‘’On noticing the son was missing, he(the father) asked the said Destiny who denied knowledge of the whereabouts of his son.
However later that day, the corpse of his son was found in an uncompleted building and some of his body parts were missing.
The suspect was arrested and during interrogation, the suspect confessed that one native Doctor Known as Jonah from Otolokpo community contracted him to look for a small boy for him for the sum of thirty thousand naira (N30,000). ‘’
Abanowonda said the suspect mentioned that he lured the deceased to where the native doctor was waiting, then the native doctor took the deceased to an uncompleted building and slit his throat.
The police boss added that the suspect is in custody while a manhunt for the fleeing native doctor is ongoing.
