Pres.Tinubu celebrates Jamb Boss Oleyede as he Clocks 70yrs,Lauds his outstanding contributions to academics
President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday hailed the leadership style of the Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede.
The President lauded Oloyede’s outstanding contributions to academics, public administration, and national development, recognising him as an exceptional scholar and administrator.
In his statement, Tinubu highlighted the JAMB’s boss transformative tenure as the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, where his leadership and innovative ideas propelled the institution to great heights.
Oloyede,an academic of Islamic Jurisprudence, left an indelible mark on the university, shaping the lives of countless students through his commitment to knowledge and character development.
Tinubu emphasised the vital role education plays in national development, describing Oloyede as a symbol of hope for Nigeria’s future.
He praised the professor’s selfless dedication, stating, “Developing nations like Nigeria need more scholars like Prof. Oloyede, whose sacrifices and innovative approaches give hope for a brighter future.”
The President also extolled Oloyede’s exceptional work at JAMB, where his leadership has introduced reforms that have revolutionised the admissions process in Nigeria, making it more transparent and credible.
Since taking the helm at JAMB, Tinubu said Oloyede has implemented technological innovations and upheld financial integrity, transforming the board into a consistent contributor to the national treasury—an uncommon feat for a government agency.
