"The Super Eagles Will Qualify, No Cause For Alarm"---Salisu Galadima,NSFA Chairman optimistic

Nasarawa State Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima has revealed that despite the uninspiring result against Equatorial Guinea in Nigeria's Opening game of the AFCON24, The team will still qualify ahead of the host.

Nigeria despite dominating the game were unable to beat the stubborn Equatorials as they rose to an early lead when Edu Salvador scored in the 36th minutes but Nigeria responded instantly when African Player of the year, Victor Osimhen met Ademola Lookman's cross to level the scores two minutes later.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were guilty of losing clear chances as the Thunders held on to secure a famous point against the gaints of Africa.

While speaking after the game, Chairman Nasarawa State FA, Alhaji Salisu Usman Galadima says it is not yet over as he sees Nigeria beating their remaining opponents to top the group and eventually make to the next round of the competition.

"The result was disappointing for us all but you can't take away the fact that the players did their best".

"It is not yet over as we have all it takes to overcome both Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau in our remaining games".

"No cause for alarm as we will show the Nigerian spirit of never say die and by the end of the day, we'll conquer Africa, the soft spoken administrator disclosed from Abidjan".

Nigeria will next at the Stade Alassane Ouattara battle Ivory Coast in a must win duel while the Thunders of Equatorial Guinea will trade tackles with Guinea Bissau.
